AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2749

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2749 by inserting the following immediately above Section 99:

    “Section 5.  "An Act making appropriations", Public Act 93-842, approved July 30, 2004, is amended by adding Section 45 to Article 2 as follows:

    (P.A. 93-842, Article 2, Section 45 new)

Sec. 45.  The amount of $2,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for the purpose of making a grant to the City Colleges of Chicago for the Truant Alternative and Optional Education Program.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.”.
