 1        AN ACT in relation to financial regulation.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  Savings Bank Act is amended by changing
 5    Section 2002 as follows:

 6        (205 ILCS 205/2002) (from Ch. 17, par. 7302-2)
 7        Sec. 2002.  Registration.  A Each  savings  bank  holding
 8    company  and  each subsidiary thereof shall register with the
 9    Commissioner within 180 days after the effective date of this
10    Act or within 90 days after becoming a savings  bank  holding
11    company,  whichever  is  later.   Each  savings  bank holding
12    company and each subsidiary thereof shall register  on  those
13    forms  as  may  be prescribed by the Commissioner which shall
14    include information with respect to the financial conditions,
15    ownership, management,  and  intercompany  relations  of  the
16    holding  company  and its subsidiaries and related matters as
17    the Commissioner may deem necessary or appropriate  to  carry
18    out the purposes of this Act.
