AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1336

2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1336 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4     "Section 5.    Upon payment of the sum of $1 and subject to
5 the conditions set forth in Section 900 of this Act, the
6 Secretary of Transportation, on behalf of the State of
7 Illinois, is authorized to convey by quitclaim deed to the City
8 of Chicago all right, title, and interest in and to the
9 following described real property:
10     That part of Lots 5 though 11 inclusive in Block 30 of
11     Albert Crosby and Others Subdivision, being a subdivision
12     in the East Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25,
13     Township 40 North, Range 13 East of the Third Principal
14     Meridian, according to the plat thereof recorded Aug. 18,
15     1873 as Document 116140, in Cook County, Illinois,
16     described as follows:
17     Commencing at the Southwest corner of Lot 11 aforesaid;
18     thence on an assumed bearing of North 00 degrees 01 minutes
19     04 seconds West along the West line of said Lot 11, a
20     distance of 3.00 feet to the point of beginning; thence
21     continuing North 00 degrees 01 minutes 04 seconds West
22     116.78 feet; thence North 84 degrees 51 minutes 34 seconds
23     East 6.13 feet; thence South 51 degrees 19 minutes 03
24     seconds East 195.85 feet to the south line of Lots 5
25     through 11; thence North 89 degrees 15 minutes 06 seconds

11     according to the plat thereof recorded Aug. 18, 1873 as
12     Document 116140, in Cook County, Illinois, described as
13     follows:

15     Crosby and Others Subdivision, being a subdivision in the
16     East Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25, Township

21     Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 37 aforesaid;

23     02 seconds East along the north line of said Lot 37, a
24     distance of 36.78 feet; thence South 51 degrees 19 minutes

2     the west line of said Lots 31 through 37; thence North 00

4     41.67 feet to the point of beginning, containing 0.239
5     acres of land.
 
6     Section 10.    The conveyance of real property authorized
7 by Section 5 shall be made subject to (1) existing public
8 utilities and any and all reservations, easements, covenants,
9 and restrictions of record and (2) the express condition that
10 if said real property ceases to be used for public outdoor
11 recreational purposes, it shall revert to the State of Illinois
12 without further action on the part of the State.
 
13     Section 900.    The Secretary of Transportation shall
14 obtain a certified copy of the portion of this Act containing
15 the title, enacting clause, the effective date, the appropriate
16 Section containing the land description of the property to be
17 transferred or otherwise affected under this Article within 60
18 days after its effective date and, upon receipt of payment
19 required by the Section shall record the certified document in
20 the Recorder's Office in the county which the land is located.
 
21     Section 999. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
22 becoming law.".
