The University of Illinois Act is amended by 5 adding Section 25 as follows: 6 (110 ILCS 305/25 new) 7 Sec. 25. Limitation on tuition increase. Beginning with 8 the 2004-2005 academic year, the tuition charged an 9 undergraduate student who is an Illinois resident shall not 10 exceed the amount that the student was charged at the time he 11 or she first enrolled in the University as an Illinois 12 resident if that student enrolled not more than 3 and 13 one-half academic years before. 14 Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management 15 Act is amended by adding Section 15 as follows: 16 (110 ILCS 520/15 new) 17 Sec. 15. Limitation on tuition increase. Beginning with 18 the 2004-2005 academic year, the tuition charged an 19 undergraduate student who is an Illinois resident shall not 20 exceed the amount that the student was charged at the time he 21 or she first enrolled in the University as an Illinois 22 resident if that student enrolled not more than 3 and 23 one-half academic years before. 24 Section 15.
