 1        AN ACT in relation to attorneys.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The  Attorney  Act  is  amended  by  changing
 5    Section 4 as follows:

 6        (705 ILCS 205/4) (from Ch. 13, par. 4)
 7        Sec.  4.  Oath.  Every  person admitted to practice as an
 8    attorney and counsellor at law  shall,  before  his  name  is
 9    entered  upon  the  roll  to be kept as hereinafter provided,
10    take and subscribe an oath, substantially  in  the  following
11    form:
12        I do solemnly swear (or affirm, as the case may be), that
13    I  will support the constitution of the United States and the
14    constitution of the  state  of  Illinois,  and  that  I  will
15    faithfully discharge the duties of the office of attorney and
16    counselor at law to the best of my ability.
