 1        AN ACT concerning public utilities.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The  Electric  Supplier  Act  is  amended  by
 5    changing Section 3.6 as follows:

 6        (220 ILCS 30/3.6) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 403.6)
 7        Sec. 3.6.  Existing line.  "Existing line" means any line
 8    of  an  electric supplier which on the effective date of this
 9    Act is (a) in existence or  (b)  is  under  construction,  as
10    determined in accordance with accepted engineering practices.
11    The  term  includes any such line which one electric supplier
12    may  acquire  from  another  electric  supplier  after   such
13    effective date.
