 1        AN ACT in relation to franchises.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.   The  Franchise  Disclosure  Act  of 1987 is
 5    amended by changing Section 12 as follows:

 6        (815 ILCS 705/12) (from Ch. 121 1/2, par. 1712)
 7        Sec. 12.  Period of effectiveness. The registration of  a
 8    franchise  and  the  disclosure  statement used in connection
 9    with  the  registration  therewith  shall  continue   to   be
10    effective   unless   the   Administrator   issues   an  order
11    suspending, terminating, prohibiting or denying the  sale  or
12    registration of the franchise under this Act.
