 1        AN ACT in relation to pensions.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.   The  Illinois  Pension  Code  is amended by
 5    changing Section 11-101 as follows:

 6        (40 ILCS 5/11-101) (from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 11-101)
 7        Sec. 11-101. Creation of fund.  In each city of more than
 8    500,000  inhabitants  a  Laborers'   and   Retirement   Board
 9    Employees'  Annuity  and  Benefit  Fund shall be created, set
10    apart, maintained and administered, in the manner  prescribed
11    in  this  Article,  for  the  benefit  of  the  laborers  and
12    retirement   board  employees,  herein   designated  in  this
13    Article, and their beneficiaries.
