Amend House Bill 495 as follows: 3 on page 1, by replacing line 14 with the following: 4 "in Section 2-3.12. 5 For the purposes of this Section: 6 "Certified inspector" means a person who is certified by 7 a national model code organization as a commercial inspector 8 in the discipline being inspected and who has attended a 9 continuing education course concerning school building code 10 requirements that has been made available by the Capital 11 Development Board or the State Board of Education. 12 "Certified plan reviewer" means a person who is certified 13 by a national model code organization as a commercial plan 14 reviewer in the discipline being reviewed and who has 15 attended a continuing education course concerning school 16 building code requirements that has been made available by 17 the Capital Development Board or the State Board of 18 Education. 19 Within 10 business days after the regional"; and 20 on page 1, lines 21 and 22, by replacing "local fire, 21 building, or plumbing inspectors" with "certified building, 22 mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or fire plan reviewers"; 23 and -2- LRB093 04020 NHT 15220 a 1 on page 1, line 25, by replacing "any of these local 2 inspectors" with "the municipality, fire protection district, 3 or county"; and 4 on page 1, by replacing lines 29 through 31 with the 5 following: 6 "plans and specifications to the certified plan reviewers. A 7 certified inspector or, on behalf of an uncertified 8 inspector, a certified plan reviewer or state-licensed design 9 professional not involved in the design process shall comment 10 on the" 11 on page 2, by replacing lines 5 through 8 with the following: 12 "certified plan reviewers.
