Amends the Illinois Occupational Therapy Practice Act, the Illinois Physical Therapy Act, the Sexual Assault Survivors Emergency Treatment Act, the Prenatal and Newborn Care Act, the AIDS Confidentiality Act, the Illinois Sexually Transmissible Disease Control Act, and the Consent by Minors to Medical Procedures Act. Allows an advanced practice nurse to engage in activities permitted under a written collaborative agreement with a collaborating physician and a physician assistant to engage in the provision of health services that the physician assistant's supervising physician has delegated to that physician assistant. Effective immediately.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
410 ILCS 325/6

Replaces everything after the enacting clause with the bill as introduced with the following changes. Changes references to an advanced practice nurse to an advanced practice nurse who has a written collaborative agreement with a collaborative physician that authorizes the provision of specified services and changes references to a physician assistant to a physician assistant who has been delegated authority to provide specified services. Removes provisions amending the Section of the Illinois Sexually Transmissible Disease Control Act concerning physical examinations and treatment. In the Illinois Physical Therapy Act, restores and makes changes in the definition of "referral". Makes other changes.

225 ILCS 90/17
410 ILCS 305/7
410 ILCS 305/8
410 ILCS 305/9

In provisions amending the Illinois Occupational Therapy Practice Act, provides for referrals from an advanced practice nurse who has a written collaborative agreement with a collaborating physician to provide or accept referrals from licensed occupational therapists (rather than a written collaborative agreement with a collaborative physician that authorizes the provision of or acceptance of referrals from licensed occupational therapists). Deletes provisions amending the Illinois Physical Therapy Act and the AIDS Confidentiality Act.
