Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act. Provides that a minor subject to a delinquency petition filed under the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 alleging that the minor is a delinquent minor for the commission of an offense that if committed by an adult would be a felony is ineligible for a Firearm Owner's Identification Card. Provides that the ineligibility continues through adulthood.

House Amendment No. 1
Adds reference to:
430 ILCS 65/10from Ch. 38, par. 83-10

Further amends the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act. Provides that the court shall notify the Department of State Police when a minor has been adjudicated delinquent for a felony. Provides that a minor who is ineligible for a Firearm Owner's Identification Card because of adjudication as a the delinquent for a felony may apply for relief to the circuit court from disability 10 years after the adjudication of delinquency.
