SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Earl Ferguson, who passed away on
4April 2, 2026; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Earl Ferguson was born in Springfield to Earl M.
6and Evelyn (Carroll) Ferguson on October 8, 1956; he attended
7Athens High School; he married Mary Hill on December 28, 1978;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Earl Ferguson, after high school, was a proud
10union member of Local 178, where he was a welder; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Earl Ferguson loved the outdoors and was an avid
12fan of the Cleveland Browns; his favorite things were fishing,
13hunting, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family,
14friends, and his best buddies, Micah and Vinny; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Earl Ferguson was preceded in death by his
16parents and his sisters, Brenda Papin, Linda Pedigo, and Lou
17Ann McCleary; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Earl Ferguson is survived by his wife, Mary; his
19children, Teresa (Greg) Ferguson, Tanya (James) Walsh, and
20Joshua Ferguson; his brother, Timothy (Lisa) Ferguson; his

1sister, Sandra (David) LeMaster; his brother-in-law, Kerry
2Pedigo; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and his
3grandsons, Micah Powell and Vinny Walsh; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Earl Ferguson and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Earl Ferguson as a symbol of our
11deepest sympathy.
