| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Faith |
| 4 | | Roselle Julian of Oak Park, who passed away on March 26, 2026; |
| 5 | | and |
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Faith Julian was born in Chicago to Dr. Percy |
| 7 | | Lavon Julian and Dr. Anna Johnson Julian on March 18, 1944; her |
| 8 | | family moved to Oak Park when she was a young girl, and she |
| 9 | | attended Oak Park and River Forest High School; she graduated |
| 10 | | from Roosevelt University in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in |
| 11 | | psychology; and |
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Faith Julian worked for the Chicago court |
| 13 | | services as a social worker and then taught English as a second |
| 14 | | language; and |
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Faith Julian volunteered on numerous occasions, |
| 16 | | including reading to those who were blind; she was always one |
| 17 | | to remember others with a phone call, a card, a gift, or |
| 18 | | flowers; she served as the caretaker for her father and her |
| 19 | | mother when they needed her, and she always remained a |
| 20 | | contributor to the Oak Park community and a stalwart steward |
| 21 | | of her family's legacy; and |
