| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5256 on page 1, by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 15 through 20 with the following: |
| 4 | | "(a-1) A person, except a person serving a mandatory |
| 5 | | supervised release term of 3 years to natural life pursuant to |
| 6 | | paragraph (4) of subsection (d) of Section 5-8-1, shall |
| 7 | | receive one day of additional supervision credit for each day |
| 8 | | of his or her mandatory supervised release term, unless such |
| 9 | | credit would prohibit the person from completing terms of |
| 10 | | mandatory supervised release set by the Prisoner Review Board. |
| 11 | | Each day of supervision credit shall reduce by one day the |
| 12 | | person's period of mandatory supervised release.". |
