SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Glenn Waibel of Pekin, formerly of
4Bartonville, who passed away on October 19, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Glenn Waibel was born to Lorence and Gladys
6(Craff) Waibel in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa on September 9, 1930; he
7served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Reserve from 1949 to
81956; he married Norma Jean Hawk in 1951; he later married
9Clare Theresa Johnigk in 1976; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Glenn Waibel worked for Caterpillar, retiring as
11a planning supervisor in 1986 after 39 years of service; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Glenn Waibel was a member of St. Anthony Catholic
13Church in Bartonville; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Glenn Waibel loved golfing and played for many
15years; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Glenn Waibel was preceded in death by his parents
17and his second wife; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Glenn Waibel is survived by his children, Gary
19(Joyce) Waibel, Barbara (Michael) Thomas, David (Trisha)

1Waibel, and Connie Jo (Kevin) Alexander; six grandchildren;
2nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Glenn Waibel and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
7friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Glenn Waibel as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
