SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Kathleen Bartley of Oak Park, who
4passed away on March 27, 2024 at the age of 71; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kathleen Bartley was born to James and Vera
6McAuley; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Kathleen Bartley graduated from Addison Trail
8High School in 1970; she earned an undergraduate degree in
9education from Illinois State University and a master's degree
10in special education from Rosary College; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Kathleen Bartley taught special education in
12Chicago, Oak Park, Cicero, and Berwyn; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Kathleen Bartley and her family enjoyed sailing
14on Lake Michigan in their sailboat and would often sail from
15Chicago to Mackinac Island; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Kathleen Bartley loved her children, Megan and
17Brian, born in 1980 and 1986 respectively, who were the joys of
18her life; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Kathleen Bartley is survived by her husband of

1nearly 46 years, Dennis; her children, Megan and Brian (Alexa
2Humman); her siblings, Michael (Jean), Judy Kobus, Suzanne
3McAuley, Mary (Mike) Gerhard, and Lori Carr; her grandchild,
4James; 25 nieces and nephews; and numerous grandnieces and
5grandnephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that that we mourn the
8passing of Kathleen Bartley and extend our sincere condolences
9to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Kathleen Bartley as an expression
13of our deepest sympathy.
