SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Eugene A. "Gene" Suarez, who passed
4away on August 1, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gene Suarez was born to Mary and Joseph Suarez in
6DePue on February 11, 1936; he graduated from Western Illinois
7University; he served in the U.S. Army; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Gene Suarez worked at the Internal Revenue
9Service (IRS) for five years; he then served as the manager of
10federal taxes with Deere & Co. for 30 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Gene Suarez loved following sports, golfing, and
12spending time with his family and friends; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Gene was preceded in death by his son, Joe; his
14parents; and his siblings, Celestino, Albert, John, Frank,
15Angelina, Juanita, and Linda; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Gene Suarez is survived by his wife, Shirley; his
17daughters, Maryann (Paul) Gatti and Brenda (Jeff) Richerson;
18and his granddaughter, Alayna Linton; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Eugene A. "Gene" Suarez and extend our sincere condolences to
3his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Gene Suarez as an expression of our
7deepest sympathy.
