SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Steven Reeder of Kewanee, who passed
4away on September 24, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Steven Reeder was born to Benjamin N. and Alice
6Fay Reeder in Keithsburg on July 18, 1940; he graduated from
7Rock Island High School; he served in the U.S. Army during the
8Vietnam War; he married Judy Frakes in Macomb on May 27, 1997;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Steven Reeder worked as a purchasing agent for
11I.J. Case; after retiring from I.J. Case, he worked as a
12salesman for Iowa Battery; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Steven Reeder was a member of the Midland Golf
14Club and a past member of the Pinnacle Country Club; he loved
15golfing and achieved three holes-in-one; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Steven Reeder enjoyed bowling in his younger
17years, vacationing in Florida and Minnesota, and maintaining
18his well-manicured lawn; he was an avid fan of the Chicago
19Bears and the Fighting Illini; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Steven Reeder was preceded in death by his

1parents; his daughter, Jennifer Reeder; and his siblings, Lon,
2Clyde, Ellen, Juanita, Billy, Eunice, Gary, and Delano; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Steven Reeder is survived by his wife; his
4children, Ben (Deena) Reeder and Angie Reeder-Clark; eight
5grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; therefore, be
6it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Steven Reeder and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Steven Reeder as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
