SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Michael Antone "Mike" Bogner of Henry,
4who passed away on October 3, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mike Bogner was born to Bernard and Beatrice
6(Hoffman) Bogner in Spring Valley on January 13, 1944; he
7served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; he married
8Donna Kimberly, and she preceded him in death; he later
9married Sandra Page in Chillicothe on August 17, 1974, and she
10preceded him in death on March 31, 2019; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Mike Bogner farmed his entire life and retired as
12a welder from Caterpillar Inc. after 35 years of service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Mike Bogner was a member of St. Mary's Church and
14the Henry Knights of Columbus; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Mike Bogner is survived by his daughter, Hollie
16(Scott) Altpeter; his grandson, Andrew Altpeter; two
17great-grandchildren; his siblings, Arthur Bogner and Louise
18(Will) Young; two nephews; two nieces; and several
19great-nieces and great-nephews; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Michael Antone "Mike" Bogner and extend our sincere
3condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
4him; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Mike Bogner as an expression of our
7deepest sympathy.
