SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Rochelle Ellen Boyd of Lovington, who
4passed away on April 18, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rochelle Boyd was born in Decatur to Charles R.
6and Rachel Nellie (Murphy) Taylor on June 19, 1939; she
7married Richard W. "Ike" Boyd in Lovington on September 14,
81957; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Rochelle Boyd taught dental assisting at Lakeland
10College for 25 years and was co-owner of Boyd's Bus Service;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, Rochelle Boyd enjoyed playing cards, dancing with
13her husband, traveling, and singing; she loved her
14grandchildren with all of her heart; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Rochelle Boyd was preceded in death by her
16husband, Ike; her parents; her son-in-law, Dave Kinert; and
17her brother-in-law, John Schwartz; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Rochelle Boyd is survived by her children,
19Jeffrey (Diana) Boyd, Julie Kinert, and Jamison (Brandi) Boyd;
20her sisters, Karen (Gary) McCoy, Marsha Schwartz, and Kathy

1(Kent) Schwerin; her grandchildren, Nick (Candice) Boyd,
2Lauren (Craig) Kinert, Wyatt (Amanda) Ciszkowski, Tim (Rhi)
3Wickens, Rick (Makenzie) Boyd, Josiah (Bailee) Kinert, Makenna
4Boyd, Maddy Boyd, and Declan Boyd; 10 great-grandchildren; and
5seven nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Rochelle Ellen Boyd and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Rochelle Boyd as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
