SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Lowell E. Hauger of Milan, who passed
4away on April 3, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lowell Hauger was born to Charles E. and Thelma
6E. (Foster) Hauger in Davenport, Iowa on April 26, 1938; he
7graduated from Sherrard Community Unit School District 200 in
81956; he served two years in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Iowa
9and the USS Bigelow as an electrician; while on the Iowa, he
10experienced passage through the Panama Canal; he married
11Delores Ann Kennedy in Joy in 1961; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Lowell Hauger completed an apprenticeship with
13International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 145; he
14retired after working for 40 years in the electrical trade; he
15also farmed in rural Milan; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Lowell Hauger collected antique tractors and
17engines as a hobby and enjoyed working on them and making them
18operational; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Lowell Hauger was preceded in death by his
20parents and his brother, Billie Gene; and

1    WHEREAS, Lowell Hauger is survived by his wife of 62
2years, Delores; his children, Gary (Susan) Hauger, Sharon
3(Chris) Jacob, and Carl (Amanda) Hauger; his grandchildren,
4Brian, Kevin, Dayton, and Savanah; his sisters, Wanda (Steve)
5Engelkes and Betty Hauger; his nephews, Steve and Ron Maynard,
6and Doug, Dean, and Dennis Bogart; and his brothers and
7sisters-in-law, Bob and Dee Dee Kennedy and Bonnie and Dennis
8Green; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Lowell E. Hauger and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Lowell Hauger as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
