SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Andrew "Andy" Samborski of Des
4Plaines, who passed away on February 7, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Andy Samborski was born to Louis and Genevieve
6Samborski in Chicago on August 13, 1936; he served in the U.S.
7Army; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Andy Samborski was a member of the Elks Lodge,
9the V.F.W., the American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus,
10where he was a Grand Knight 4th Degree; he also volunteered at
11the Des Plaines Food Pantry; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Andy Samborski was a man of strong faith and
13served as a minister of care for St. Stephen Protomartyr
14Catholic Church; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Andy Samborski was the epitome of joy, and his
16contagious laugh and compassionate nature captured the hearts
17of all who knew and loved him; he will be remembered for
18selflessly giving to anyone in need; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Andy Samborski was preceded in death by his
20parents; his wife of 56 years, Josephine; and his son, Timothy

2    WHEREAS, Andy Samborski is survived by his children, Dan
3(the late Rochelle) Samborski, Mark Samborski, Debbie (Joe)
4Vavrus, and Chris (Joe) Dalmaso; his grandchildren, Heather,
5Matt, Joey, Andrea, Justin, Ryan, Genevieve, Angelika, and
6Sarah; and his great-grandchildren, Jay, Karlee, Aiden,
7Josephine, and Magnolia; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Andrew "Andy" Samborski and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Andy Samborski as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
