SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Jimmy L. Walker of Pekin, who passed
4away on January 29, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jimmy Walker was born to Donald and Mable
6(Custer) Walker in Murrayville on August 16, 1934; he served
7in the U.S. Army; he married Norma Spencer in Manchester on
8November 29, 1952; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jimmy Walker worked for Caterpillar Inc. for 20
10years, retiring in 1990; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jimmy Walker was a member of the American Legion
12William Schaefer Post #44; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jimmy Walker enjoyed hunting and fishing; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Jimmy Walker was preceded in death by his
15parents; his brother, Zane Walker; and his sister, Mary Ruby;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jimmy Walker is survived by his wife; his sons,
18Steven L. Walker and Phillip K. Walker; his brother, Michael
19(Carol) Walker; his grandchildren, Chad M. Walker, Jayme

1Walker, and Jennifer Walker; his great-grandchildren, Shalee,
2Chance, Kylie, Becca, and Jaron; and his
3great-great-grandchildren, Willow, Triton, and Lucian;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Jimmy L. Walker and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Jimmy Walker as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
