SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Clifford Walter "Cliff" Lohnes of
4Pekin, who passed away on January 16, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Cliff Lohnes was born to Clifford and Loretta
6(Terrell) Lohnes in Pekin on May 11, 1948; he graduated from
7Pekin Community High School in 1966; he served in the U.S. Army
8in Vietnam, attaining the rank of sergeant; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Cliff Lohnes worked at Williams Bio Energy for 36
10year, retiring on October 26, 2001; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Cliff Lohnes was a member of the St. John's Sand
12Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Cliff Lohnes enjoyed helping his friends and
14neighbors with projects and fixing things around his home; he
15loved spending time with his family, especially his
16grandchildren; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Cliff Lohnes was preceded in death by his father;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Cliff Lohnes is survived by his mother; his son,

1Shawn (Judy) Lohnes; his grandchildren, Mallory Lohnes and
2Ethan Lohnes; his brother, Richard (Dianne) Lohnes; and his
3sister, Debbie Boyd; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Clifford Walter "Cliff" Lohnes and extend our sincere
7condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
8him; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Cliff Lohnes as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
