SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Steven Charles "Steve" Snyder of Erie,
4who passed away on December 28, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Steve Snyder was born in Moline to Charles and
6Ann (Feaster) Snyder on August 10, 1956; he lived in many
7places in the U.S., France, and Puerto Rico during his
8father's career in the U.S. Air Force; his family settled in
9Fenton after his father's retirement in 1971; he graduated
10from Erie High School in 1975; he joined the Air Force and
11served in security forces in Florida and South Korea; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Steve Snyder worked security at the Quad City
13nuclear plant and then become a nuclear plant inspector, which
14had him traveling throughout the U.S. and overseas; he retired
15in 2020; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Steve Snyder enjoyed riding horses and Harleys
17and spending time with family and friends; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Steve Snyder was preceded in death by his
19parents; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Steve Snyder is survived by his daughter, Brooke

1Walker; his sisters, Tama (Paul) Fisher, Julie DeVall, and
2Susan (Tim) Hays; his nieces and nephews, Heather Turner,
3Jacklyn (Drew) Seliger, Marcus (Noel) Bush, Gregory (Katie)
4Bush, and Roy (Elizabeth) Fisher; and 10 great-nieces and
5great-nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Steven Charles "Steve" Snyder and extend our sincere
9condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
10him; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Steve Snyder as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
