2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Ryan |
4 | | J. Epley, formerly of Arnold, Missouri, who passed away on |
5 | | November 15, 2023; and |
6 | | WHEREAS, CW2 Epley was born to Jack and Ciaran (Siecers) |
7 | | Epley in Clarksville, Tennessee on October 21, 1998; and |
8 | | WHEREAS, CW2 Epley was a brilliant Black Hawk helicopter |
9 | | pilot in the U.S. Army; at the time of his passing, he was |
10 | | serving on active duty while stationed in California; and |
11 | | WHEREAS, CW2 Epley loved flying helicopters and playing |
12 | | disc golf; and |
13 | | WHEREAS, CW2 Epley was a wise, kind soul who loved |
14 | | unconditionally, made everyone he met feel welcome and |
15 | | comfortable, and could make anyone laugh; he will be |
16 | | remembered as a true officer and a gentleman; and |
17 | | WHEREAS, CW2 Epley is survived by his parents; his |
18 | | sisters, U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Chloe Heckman and |
19 | | Brianna Heckman; his brothers, Dakota Heckman, Cazic Epley, |
20 | | and Connor Epley; his nephew, Corvin LaRose; his niece, Odessa |
