SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of David H. Stonecipher of Hanna City, 
4who passed away on October 28, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Stonecipher was born in Pierce County, 
6Washington to Carl A. and Sally J. Shepard on November 22, 
71955; he served in the U.S. Army; he married Stephanie L. 
8Sleister in Peoria on December 27, 1998; and
 
9    WHEREAS, David Stonecipher worked for the State of 
10Illinois as a rehab case coordinator, retiring in August 2022; 
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, David Stonecipher loved being retired; he also 
13loved living on the farm and enjoyed four wheeling, horses, 
14and the outdoors; and
 
15    WHEREAS, David Stonecipher was preceded in death by his 
16parents; and
 
17    WHEREAS, David Stonecipher is survived by his wife, 
18Stephanie, and his siblings, Michael (Ikui) Stonecipher, Greg 
19(Chris) Stonecipher, and Cindy (Gary) Cole; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that mourn the passing of 
3David H. Stonecipher and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of David Stonecipher as an expression 
8of our deepest sympathy.
