| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Graham Joseph Hosman, who passed away |
| 4 | | on November 3, 2023; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Graham Hosman was born on October 6, 2015; he was |
| 6 | | the firstborn son of three to Andrew and Jennifer (Parks) |
| 7 | | Hosman of Eldorado; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Graham Hosman loved dinosaurs, fishing in his |
| 9 | | grandfather's pond, building Legos, and anything with a ball; |
| 10 | | he expressed hopes of becoming a preacher and a |
| 11 | | paleontologist, and he assuredly would have excelled at both; |
| 12 | | and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Graham Hosman was known for his compassion and |
| 14 | | the tenderness he bestowed on the elderly, the young, and the |
| 15 | | hurting; he steadfastly prayed for the needs of others, humbly |
| 16 | | submitted to endless intrusions to his person, and taught |
| 17 | | others by example the beauty of contentment through his lack |
| 18 | | of complaints; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Graham Hosman will be remembered for his |
| 20 | | determination, perseverance, competitive spirit, keen mind, |
| 21 | | and desire to please loved ones; and
|
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Graham Hosman was preceded in death by his |
| 2 | | paternal great-grandfather, Dr. Elliott Partridge; his |
| 3 | | paternal great-grandparents, Reba Marie and Lloyd Johns; his |
| 4 | | maternal great-grandfather, Emil Allen; and his honorary |
| 5 | | maternal great-grandfather, James Parks; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Graham Hosman is survived by his parents; his |
| 7 | | younger brothers, Parker and Eli; his paternal grandparents, |
| 8 | | Joe "PaPa" and Joni "Omi" Hosman; his maternal grandparents, |
| 9 | | Larry "Granddad" and Cathy "Nana" Parks; his paternal |
| 10 | | great-grandmother, Darla Partridge; his maternal |
| 11 | | great-grandmother, Rita Allen; his honorary maternal |
| 12 | | great-grandmother, Cathlene Parks; and his many aunts, uncles, |
| 13 | | and cousins; therefore, be it
|
| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL |
| 15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 16 | | Graham Joseph Hosman and extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 17 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 18 | | further

| 19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 20 | | presented to the family of Graham Hosman as an expression of |
| 21 | | our deepest sympathy. |
