SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Deborah L. "Debbie" Jerisha, who
4passed away on September 6, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Debbie Jerisha was born to Harold and Ruth
6(Ogrzewalla) Clark in Du Quoin on March 24, 1951; she attended
7Joliet Public Grade Schools and Joliet Central High School for
8two years before moving to Milwaukee with her mother, where
9she graduated from Washington High School; she married Anthony
10"Tony" Jerisha Jr.; she attended Joliet Junior College before
11ultimately leaving the nursing program to raise her family;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Debbie Jerisha was a stay at home mom, raising
14her sons, and returned to work outside the home after they were
15grown; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Debbie Jerisha enjoyed Florida vacations with her
17family and camping trips to South Wilmington Sportsman's Club
18in Essex; she was a passionate advocate for animal rights; she
19loved owning and riding horses and feeding the wildlife in her
20backyard, including the fish in the pond, squirrels, and
21birds; she liked watching documentaries and programs about the
22supernatural; and

1    WHEREAS, Debbie Jerisha was preceded in death by her
2mother, Ruth; her father-in-law, Anthony Jerisha Sr.; her
3mother-in-law, Dorothy Jerisha; and her dogs, Pooh Bear, Boo
4Bear "Bear", and Taffy; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Debbie Jerisha is survived by her husband of 53
6years, Tony; her sons, Anthony "Little Tony" (Lori) Jerisha
7and Dr. Jason Jerisha; her brother-in-law, Dr. John (Susan)
8Jerisha; her nephew, Joshua Jerisha; her grandchildren, Darin
9Jerisha and Taylor Chamness; several cousins; and her cats,
10Squirrel and Picasso; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Deborah L. "Debbie" Jerisha and extend our sincere condolences
14to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
15it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Debbie Jerisha as an expression of
18our deepest sympathy.
