2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Jerry D. Saline of Knoxville, who |
4 | | passed away on July 23, 2023; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Saline was born to Dean and Fern (Reed) |
6 | | Saline in Galesburg on October 3, 1947; he graduated from |
7 | | Knoxville High School in 1965; he served in the U.S. Army from |
8 | | July 1967 to February 1969; he married Teresa Clay in East |
9 | | Galesburg in February 1978; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, After his military service, Jerry Saline farmed |
11 | | with his father; he then worked for the City of Knoxville Sewer |
12 | | Department, Hiller Construction, and Laverdiere Construction |
13 | | before retiring from Midwest Crane; after retiring, he pursued |
14 | | snowplowing and garden tilling in Knoxville; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Saline was preceded in death by his parents |
16 | | and his siblings, Janice and Harold; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Jerry Saline is survived by his daughter, Amanda |
18 | | Joy (Cdr. J.A. Copes, USN, ret.) Clay-Copes; his sister, |
19 | | Barbara Heimer; his sister-in-law, Terrie Saline; his |
20 | | brother-in-law, Jerry Fordyce; and several nieces and one |
21 | | nephew; therefore, be it
