2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Mary Ann Lamm, who passed away on June |
4 | | 4, 2023; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Mary Ann Lamm was born to Bernard H. and Dorothy |
6 | | E. (Barton) Drummond in East St. Louis on December 21, 1938; |
7 | | she graduated from Rosati-Kain High School in St. Louis, |
8 | | Missouri; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Mary Ann Lamm served as Sangamon County Recorder |
10 | | from 1976 to 2008, as Southern View Village Clerk from 1963 to |
11 | | 1971, and as a Capital Township Trustee from 1972 to 1976; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Mary Ann Lamm was involved in many professional |
13 | | and civic organizations, including, the National Association |
14 | | of Clerks & Recorders, the American Businesswomen's |
15 | | Association, the United Way of Springfield/Sangamon County, |
16 | | D.R.I.V.E., the Springfield Chamber of Commerce, St. John's |
17 | | Hospital Guild, the Little Flower School PTA, and the Little |
18 | | Flower Parish Council; she also served as legislative |
19 | | co-chairman of the Illinois County Clerks and Recorders |
20 | | Association; and
|
21 | | WHEREAS, Mary Ann Lamm loved spending time with her family |

1 | | at Ft. Myers Beach, Florida; her hobbies included cooking, |
2 | | gardening, and visiting various casinos; she was also an avid |
3 | | St. Louis Cardinals fan; and
|
4 | | WHEREAS, Mary Ann Lamm was preceded in death by her |
5 | | parents; her son, Steven Lamm; her brothers, Bernard Drummond |
6 | | and William Drummond; and her former husband, John Lamm; and
|
7 | | WHEREAS, Mary Ann Lamm is survived by her children, Robert |
8 | | (Carrie Boyke) Lamm, Therese (Charles) Sivert, and Melissa |
9 | | (Chad) Anderson; her grandchildren, Laura Sivert, Alyssa Lamm, |
10 | | Nick Roth, Libby Roth, Eric Sivert, and Sophia Roth; her |
11 | | siblings, Bob (Bonnie), John (Mary), Ginny (Warren) Kepp, and |
12 | | Tom (Pat); and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
|
13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL |
14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
|
15 | | Mary Ann Lamm and extend our sincere
condolences to her |
16 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
her; and be it |
