SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Wayne Norris of Plymouth, who passed 
4away on May 31, 2023; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Wayne Norris was born to Donald and Dorothy Baker 
6Norris in Macomb on August 10, 1937; he graduated from Macomb 
7High School; he served in the U.S. Air Force, where he 
8graduated from the Air Avionic School; he married Janet Irene 
9Tippet in Macomb on December 22, 1963, and she preceded him in 
10death on October 14, 2022; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Wayne Norris was a retired farmer; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Wayne Norris enjoyed raising cattle, gunsmithing, 
13hunting, and attending classic car shows; he loved old 
14tractors and motorcycles; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Wayne Norris' biggest joy was raising his 
16daughters and spending time with his grandchildren; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Wayne Norris was preceded in death by his parents 
18and his brother, James Norris; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Wayne Norris is survived by his daughters, Janine

1(Mark) Dorethy, Wendy (Jeff) Legare, and Caroline (Edward) 
2Norris Watson; his grandchildren, Heather (Matthew) Parkin, 
3Haley (Spencer Raleigh) Dorethy, Emma Legare, and Norrie 
4Legare; eight great-grandchildren; and his sister, Barbara 
5Hoyt; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
8Wayne Norris and extend our sincere condolences to his family, 
9friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the family of Wayne Norris as an expression of our 
12deepest sympathy.
