SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Caleb Lee Schwartz of East Peoria, who
4passed away on May 30, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Caleb Schwartz was born to David and Meghann
6(Dermott) Schwartz in Peoria on May 15, 2013; and
 
7    WHEREAS, From his smile to his tenacity for making others
8laugh, Caleb Schwartz brought light and joy into the lives of
9everyone he encountered; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Caleb Schwartz's desire to bring others happiness
11was only overshadowed by his love of being outdoors; he
12enjoyed taking daily walks around the neighborhood, playing
13catch or frisbee, and spending time on his swing set; he
14especially enjoyed going on R.V. camping trips; and
 
15    WHEREAS, When he was not outside, Caleb Schwartz enjoyed
16reading, listening to stories or music on his Yoto, playing
17board games, putting together puzzles, and playing with his
18action figures; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Caleb Schwartz worked incredibly hard in school,
20and he excelled at spelling and math; and

1    WHEREAS, Caleb Schwartz's special time of the week was
2Sunday Night Family Movie Night with his parents; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Caleb Schwartz, no matter what he was doing, was
4happiest as long as he was spending time with the people he
5loved, and he loved everyone; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Caleb Schwartz is survived by his parents; his
7paternal grandparents, Daniel Lee and Anita Schwartz; his
8maternal grandparents, Donald Lee and Patricia Poll; his
9great-grandparents, Stanley and Flora Schwartz and Mary Lou
10Holt; his aunt, Lauren (Sean) Wilhite; his uncle, Greg
11(Tracey) Schwartz; his cousins, Joey, Miles, Benjamin, and
12Everett; and a host of other extended family members;
13therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Caleb Lee Schwartz and extend our sincere condolences to his
17family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
18further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Caleb Schwartz as an expression of
21our deepest sympathy.
