SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 
3congratulate Terry McGoldrick on the occasion of his 
4retirement from International Brotherhood of Electrical 
5Workers Local 15 on May 5, 2023; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Terry McGoldrick started as a meter reader in 
7Rockford on March 25, 1985; he went to line school that fall 
8and became a lineman in Rockford; he became a union steward in 
9the early 1990s, chief steward in the mid 1990s, and chairman 
10of the Rockford unit meeting in 1998; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Terry McGoldrick was hired as a business 
12representative in March of 2002 for Commercial Physical in the 
13West Region, a position he held until he was elected vice 
14president of Local 15 in June of 2007; he served as vice 
15president until elected as president/business 
16manager/financial secretary in June of 2019; he was elected as 
17utility representative for the IBEW Illinois Board in June of 
182019; and
  
 
  
19    WHEREAS, Terry McGoldrick worked tirelessly for the 
20membership of Local 15 and logged many hours working on 
21legislation, including being instrumental in the passage of 
22the Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA), the Clean Energy Jobs Act

1(CEJA), and Smart Grid legislation; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, Terry McGoldrick and his wife, Lisa, have two 
3children, a son, Nathan, and a daughter, Hannah; therefore, be 
4it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Terry 
7McGoldrick on his retirement from International Brotherhood of 
8Electrical Workers Local 15, and we wish him the best in all 
9his future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to Terry McGoldrick as a symbol of our respect and 
12esteem.
