SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Dale Kenneth Catton of Toulon, who 
4passed away on
March 1, 2023; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dale Catton was born in Kewanee to Vincent Catton 
6and
Violet (Howell) Fitzpatrick on June 30, 1942; he served in 
7the U.S. Army National Guard from
August 1, 1960 to July 31, 
81968; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Dale Catton had a lifelong career as a carpenter; 
10he joined Carpenters Union #183 in 1970 and maintained an 
11active
membership his entire life; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Dale Catton enjoyed working as a farmer
in the 
13Toulon area after his retirement; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Dale Catton was preceded in death by his parents 
15and his sister, Kay Catton; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Dale Catton is survived by his daughter, Lorrie 
17(Robin) Nowlan; his
sons, Lawrence (Sheri) and Randy Catton; 
18his grandchildren, Ashton (Patrick) Sheehan, Alex
Nowlan, 
19Ashley (Jeremy) Egli, Cody Catton,
and Chelsey Catton; and 
20four great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Dale Kenneth Catton and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Dale Catton as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
