SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $10,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and the Office of Homeland Security for EMT, EMT-I, A-EMT, or paramedic training.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $10,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and the Office of Homeland Security for distribution to fire protection districts for EMT, EMT-I, A-EMT, or paramedic training pursuant to 70 ILCS 705/16.08b.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2024.
