SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 

Appropriates the sum of $2,500,000 to the Cook County State’s Attorney Office from the General Revenue Fund for the Victim Witness Assistance Unit to serve victims of crimes throughout Cook County. Effective July 1, 2024.

    AN ACT concerning appropriations.

 

        Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

 

    The sum of $2,500,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Cook County State’s Attorney Office from the General Revenue Fund to be used for the Victim Witness Assistance Unit to serve victims of crimes throughout Cook County.

 

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2024.
