1 | | AN ACT concerning civil law. |
2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
4 | | Section 5. The Civil Rights Remedies Restoration Act is |
5 | | amended by changing Section 30 as follows: |
6 | | (775 ILCS 60/30) |
7 | | Sec. 30. Filing claims; enforcement under the Illinois |
8 | | Human Rights Act; State waivers. Claims for violation of this |
9 | | Act may be filed in any court of competent jurisdiction. |
10 | | Nothing in this Act shall be interpreted to limit , modify, |
11 | | supersede, expand, or create any right, remedy, or any |
12 | | enforcement authority available under the Illinois Human |
13 | | Rights Act or other applicable local, State, or federal law |
14 | | affecting employment or any prospective employment |
15 | | relationship . The State waives sovereign and Eleventh |
16 | | Amendment of the United States Constitution immunity for any |
17 | | violation of this Act. |
