Provides that nothing in the Act shall be interpreted to limit, modify, supersede, expand, or create any right, remedy, or any enforcement authority available under the Illinois Human Rights Act or other applicable local, State, or federal law affecting employment or any prospective employment relationship. Effective immediately. |

| 1 | | AN ACT concerning civil law.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Civil Rights Remedies Restoration Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 30 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (775 ILCS 60/30) |
| 7 | | Sec. 30. Filing claims; enforcement under the Illinois |
| 8 | | Human Rights Act; State waivers. Claims for violation of this |
| 9 | | Act may be filed in any court of competent jurisdiction. |
| 10 | | Nothing in this Act shall be interpreted to limit, modify, |
| 11 | | supersede, expand, or create any right, remedy, or any |
| 12 | | enforcement authority available under the Illinois Human |
| 13 | | Rights Act or other applicable local, State, or federal law |
| 14 | | affecting employment or any prospective employment |
| 15 | | relationship. The State waives sovereign and Eleventh |
| 16 | | Amendment of the United States Constitution immunity for any |
| 17 | | violation of this Act. |
