Provides that, notwithstanding any other provisions of law, a county may use funds designated by law or ordinance for transportation purposes to fund rides for persons to attend problem-solving courts. Allows a county to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with another unit of local government for the purposes of the provisions. Defines "problem-solving court" as a court program regulated under the Drug Court Treatment Act, the Juvenile Drug Court Treatment Act, the Mental Health Court Treatment Act, or the Veterans and Servicemembers Court Treatment Act. |

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
4 | | Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by adding Section |
5 | | 5-1189 as follows: |
6 | | (55 ILCS 5/5-1189 new) |
7 | | Sec. 5-1189. Transportation to problem-solving courts. |
8 | | (a) As used in this Section, "problem-solving court" means |
9 | | a court program regulated under the Drug Court Treatment Act, |
10 | | the Juvenile Drug Court Treatment Act, the Mental Health Court |
11 | | Treatment Act, or the Veterans and Servicemembers Court |
12 | | Treatment Act. |
13 | | (b) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a county |
