AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2390




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2390 on page 38, 
3line 19, by replacing "up to 4 phases:" with "up to 3 4 
4phases:"; and


 
5on page 39, by replacing line 5 with the following:
6    "enter the residency.  In residency, the candidate must: be 
7    assigned an effective, fully licensed teacher by the 
8    principal or principal equivalent to act as a mentor and 
9    coach the candidate through residency, and must complete 
10    additional program"; and
 
11on page 39, by replacing line 15 through 19 with:
12        "(3) (Blank). If needed, a  second year of residency, 
13    which shall include the candidate's assignment to a 
14    full-time teaching position for one school year. The 
15    candidate must be assigned an experienced teacher to act 
16    as a mentor and coach the candidate through the second
