SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 

 
70 ILCS 1235/25 new

     Amends the Park Commissioners Land Sale Act. Provides that the Joliet Park District may sell Splash Station if (1) the board of commissioners of the Joliet Park District authorizes the sale by a four-fifths vote of the commissioners in office at the time of the vote and (2) the sale price equals or exceeds the average of 3 independent appraisals commissioned by the Joliet Park District. Repeals the provisions on June 30, 2025. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning local government.
  
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
 
3represented in the General Assembly:
  
 
 
4    Section 5. The Park Commissioners Land Sale Act is amended  
5by adding Section 25 as follows:
 
6    (70 ILCS 1235/25 new)
7    Sec. 25. Sale of Joliet Park District land.
8    (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Joliet 
9Park District may sell Splash Station if:
10        (1) the board of commissioners of the Joliet Park 
11    District authorizes the sale by a four-fifths vote of the 
12    commissioners in office at the time of the vote; and
13        (2) the sale price equals or exceeds the average of 3 
14    independent appraisals commissioned by the Joliet Park 
15    District.
16    (b) This Section is repealed on June 30, 2025.
 
 
17    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
18becoming law.
