| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Boat Registration and Safety Act is amended |
| 5 | | by changing Section 1-1 as follows:

Title
and declaration of intent.
This Act shall |
| 8 | | be known and may be cited as the the "Boat Registration and |
| 9 | | Safety Act." It is the policy of this State to promote safety |
| 10 | | for persons
and property in and connected with the use, |
| 11 | | operation and equipment of
vessels and to promote uniformity |
| 12 | | of laws relating thereto.
