1    AN ACT concerning civil law.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Eminent Domain Act is amended by adding
5Section 25-5-130 as follows:
 
6    (735 ILCS 30/25-5-130 new)
7    Sec. 25-5-130. Quick-take; Village of Deer Park; 20820 N.
8Rand Road.
9    (a) Quick-take proceedings under Article 20 may be used
10for a period of one year after the effective date of this
11amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly by the Village of
12Deer Park for the acquisition of the following described
13property for the purpose of a permanent Village utility
14easement for the transmission of potable water:
 
15Part of 14-34-100-012, 20820 N. Rand Road
16The Northerly 10 feet of the Property being a strip of land 10
17feet wide adjoining and parallel with the Southwesterly
18right-of-way line of Rand Road (U.S. Route 12), said
19Southwesterly right-of-way line being 50 feet Southwesterly of
20and parallel with the centerline of Rand Road as per Plat of
21Highway recorded December 2, 1983 as Document No. 2254251.
22The "Property" is legally described as:

1That part of the West Half of the North West Quarter of Section
234, Township 43 North, Range 10, East of the 3rd Principal
3Meridian described as follows: Beginning on the West line of
4said Northwest Quarter at the Northwest corner of a tract of
5land conveyed to Fritz Fisher by Warranty Deed dated August
610, 1868 and recorded April 2, 1869 in Book 46 of Deeds Page
7552 (said point being 19.55 chains North of the Southwest
8corner of said Quarter Section); thence North on said West
9line 8.59 chains, more or less, to the center of Chicago Road
10(so called); thence South 62 Degrees East in the center of said
11Road, 11.30 chains; thence South 3.40 chains to the North line
12of said Fisher's land; thence West on said North line to the
13place of beginning (excepting therefrom that party lying
14Westerly of the following described line: Beginning at the
15Northeasterly corner of Creamery Lot as described in deed
16recorded as Document 27470; thence Southwesterly along the
17Southeasterly line of said Lot to the Southeasterly corner of
18said Lot; thence South to a point in the North line of said
19Fritz Fisher land, said point being 308.73 feet East of the
20Northwest corner of said Fisher's land), and also excepting
21therefrom that part lying Northeasterly of and adjoining the
22Southwesterly right of way of Rand Road (U.S. 12), all in Lake
23County, Illinois.
24    (b) This Section is repealed 3 years after the effective
25date of this amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly.
 
26    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
