| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 235 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (5 ILCS 490/235 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 235. Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Awareness Day. The |
| 8 | | 15th day of May of each year is designated as Tuberous |
| 9 | | Sclerosis Complex Awareness Day to be observed throughout the |
| 10 | | State as a day to bring awareness to this genetic disease that |
| 11 | | impacts 50,000 Americans, to urge those in Illinois to support |
| 12 | | the search for a cure, and to assist those individuals and |
| 13 | | families who deal with this challenging disease on a daily |
| 14 | | basis.
