HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Clyde E. 
4Bunch, who passed away on December 3, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Clyde Bunch was born to Robert and Goldie 
6(Painter) Bunch on January 17, 1936; he served in the U.S. Army 
7National Guard; he married Ruth A. Squires in Springfield on 
8November 8, 1953; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Clyde Bunch worked as a superintendent with the 
10Springfield Department of Public Health, retiring after 30 
11years of service; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Clyde Bunch served on the Sangamon County Board 
13for 46 years and was the longest serving member of that board; 
14he also served on the Comptroller's Mayor Commission for six 
15years; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Clyde Bunch was a member of St. Patrick's Church 
17and the Eagles Club; he was active with Walk Through the Park 
18for St. Martin de Porres for 20 years and Friend-In-Deed for 15 
19years; in addition, he was a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish 
20Foundation and the Cancer Relay Walk for Life; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we mourn the passing of Clyde E. Bunch and extend our sincere 
4condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
5him; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Clyde Bunch as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
