1 | | WHEREAS, Chief Tigera was named chief of police for |
2 | | Broadview in July of 2011, serving through April of 2017; and |
3 | | WHEREAS, Chief Tigera returned to where his career began |
4 | | and became the chief of police for the Niles Police Department |
5 | | in July of 2017, where he led the department through a period |
6 | | of transformative growth and innovation; and |
7 | | WHEREAS, Chief Tigera holds a master's degree in police |
8 | | administration from Lewis University and graduated as a member |
9 | | of the 182nd session of the FBI National Academy; and |
10 | | WHEREAS, Chief Tigera's career will be remembered for his |
11 | | dedication, vision, and unwavering commitment to both his |
12 | | officers and the community, and he leaves behind a legacy of |
13 | | excellence and leadership; therefore, be it |
14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
15 | | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
16 | | we congratulate Chief Luis C. Tigera on his retirement after |
17 | | more than four decades of service in law enforcement, and we |
18 | | wish him the best in all of his future endeavors; and be it |
