HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Robert "Bob" Chiappetta 
4on the occasion of his retirement as a firefighter and 
5paramedic with the Grayslake Fire District; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Bob Chiappetta began his career as a firefighter 
7and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in 1993, becoming a 
8paramedic in 1994; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Bob Chiappetta became a member of the Lake County 
10Honor Guard in 2005; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Bob Chiappetta was named the 2019 Firefighter of 
12the Year for going above and beyond in fulfilling his duties 
13and for advocating for the RTF program, which provides 
14training for active shooter situations; and
 
15    WHEREAS, During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bob 
16Chiappetta served as a member of the Emergency Response Team 
17tasked with vaccinating the community; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Bob Chiappetta has always found joy in serving 
19his community, day or night, and has expressed plans to 
20continue doing so in the future; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate Robert "Bob" Chiappetta on his retirement as a 
4firefighter and paramedic with the Grayslake Fire District, 
5and we commend his dedication and service to the community of 
6Grayslake; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Bob Chiappetta as an expression of our esteem and 
9respect.
