HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Sharon
4Shavaughn Marsh; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh was born to Olivia Consuela and
6Vaughn Marsh in Chicago on August 4, 1964; she attended
7Wadsworth Elementary School and Hyde Park Academy; she married
8Daryl A. Monson in January 1998, and they later divorced in
92001; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh worked in retail in downtown Chicago
11and served Cook County, the City of Chicago, the Cook County
12Sheriff's Office, the 8th Ward of Chicago, and the Chicago
13City Council as a receptionist; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh attended Trinity United Church of
15Christ, where she was baptized on April 1, 2001; she
16volunteered for the 8th Ward of Chicago and was a member of the
178th Ward Regular Democratic Organization Women's Auxiliary;
18she was a previous member of the Young Democrats; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh was funny, kind, witty, and loyal,
20and she touched many lives with her laid-back and sweet
21personality; and

1    WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh was preceded in death by her mother
2and her brother, Ronald Burkhalte; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Sharon Marsh is survived by her daughters,
4Shavaughn Patrice and Darnisha Ashley; her granddaughters,
5Jordan and London; her grandson, Malcolm; her sisters, Diane,
6Pamela, Tracey, and Denean; her aunt and uncle; and a host of
7cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members, close friends,
8and acquaintances; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
10HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
11we mourn the passing of Sharon Shavaughn Marsh and extend our
12sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
13and loved her; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Sharon Marsh as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
