HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Anthony
4Michael Geisen of Godfrey, who passed away on October 29,
52023; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Anthony Geisen was born to Sara (Dixon) Geisen
7and Roy Geisen in Clayton, Missouri on August 18, 2003; he
8graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in 2021, where
9he was a member of the National Honor Society; he continued his
10education and attended Southern Illinois University at
11Edwardsville to study cybersecurity; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Anthony Geisen was an active member of the
13community, working at Home Depot in Alton and serving as a
14member of Troop 16 of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA); he
15remained committed to the community and never failed to make
16ethical and moral choices over his lifetime, upholding the
17values BSA and his faith bestowed upon him; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Anthony Geisen was a man of integrity and
19impeccable character who was deeply committed to his Catholic
20faith; he will be remembered for his love for his family, for
21his kind-hearted nature, and for holding fast to his
22convictions; and

1    WHEREAS, Anthony Geisen was preceded in death by his
2infant brother, Samuel John Geisen, and his grandparents,
3James and Bernadine Geisen and Don Dixon and Ellen Wiley; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Anthony Geisen is survived by his parents; his
5girlfriend, Kashish Tandon; his brothers, Adam (Monica)
6Geisen, Alex Geisen, Andrew (Alyssa Harang) Geisen, Aaron
7(Brittney) Geisen, and Avery Geisen; and his nieces and
8nephews, Violet Geisen, Sylvia Geisen, Kaden Geisen, Carter
9Geisen, and, due in December, Ameila Geisen; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
11HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we mourn the passing of Anthony Michael Geisen and extend our
13sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
14and loved him; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Anthony Geisen as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
