HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dorothy
4G. Furman of Antioch, who passed away on April 4, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dorothy Furman was born to George and Kay Olsen
6in Chicago on August 25, 1932; she married Raymond L.
7Enzenbacher on July 29, 1951, and he preceded her in death on
8April 6, 1973; she married Thomas L. Furman on June 14, 1975,
9and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2011; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Dorothy Furman was an active member of the
11Antioch Senior Center, the Antique Bottle Club of Northern
12Illinois, and the senior bowling league at Lakes Bowl in Round
13Lake; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Dorothy Furman was very patriotic and an avid
15sports fan; she loved collecting antique collectibles and
16dolls; she enjoyed taking trips to the casinos and traveling
17with her family, especially to the Wisconsin Dells; her
18favorite types of birds were cardinals and eagles; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Dorothy Furman was preceded in death by her
20parents; her son, Erik Enzenbacher; her brother, George Olsen;
21and her sister, Alice Baldare; and

1    WHEREAS, Dorothy Furman is survived by her children, David
2Enzenbacher and Holly (Kelvyn) Stirk; her grandchildren, Chief
3Petty Officer Brett Andre (U.S. Navy), Corrina Delaney, Briana
4Enzenbacher, Kathleen Enzenbacher, Bransen (Brittany) Stirk,
5and Brooks Stirk; her great-grandchildren, Karissa, Kilee, and
6Leon Enzenbacher; her siblings, Kathy (Ted) Loef and Frank
7(Linda) Livorsi; her sister-in-law, Donna Olsen; and many
8extended family and friends; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
10HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
11we mourn the passing of Dorothy G. Furman and extend our
12sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
13and loved her; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Dorothy Furman as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
